I bought this this heavy 12 lb. Blanket for my grandson age 26He weighs 116 lbs. He said he likes the heavy blanket was cosy softAnd was nice and warm He sleep so well and didn’t want to get upTo go to work. He like the twin size Checkered blanket pattern too !I do recommend this weighted blanket if they are able to have weighton them while sleeping . The package was well packed when it’sOpen has a chemical smell so I washed it in cold water with a sheetOf Earth Breeze in the wash machine in the light cycle. I dried itOn the fluff light in the dryer Came out beautiful ! My son loveshis new weighted blanket ! Thank you for this product !

Digging it!
After getting used to the weight change, I enjoyed the cool yet cozy dense blanket whether wrapped in it or laying on it. The weight helps keep the blanket more stationary instead of constantly shifting around like a lite basic blanket. Might get another one in the near future.

Soft, warm, wonderful construction, and no shifting of beads
I was initially introduced to the weighted blankets by a friend who gifted me one of a different brand of the same size and a weight of 12 lbs. I really liked the gifted blanket that actually cost twice as much as this one, but wanted to try one with more weight. I got this burgundy blanket at 15 lbs., and decided to try the the 20 lb. one in grey (burgundy wasn’t available). Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference in the weight when each of them was on my bed. So, I returned the 20 lb. grey one since burgundy matches the color scheme in my bedroom.There are so many things I love about this blanket. The burgundy color is actually burgundy and not red. It is not a dark burgundy, but is definitely burgundy. Although the blanket as a whole is heavy, it doesn’t feel heavy when you sleep under it. Although a blanket weight is recommended depending on your weight, the size of the blanket is not considered. For example, an 15 lb. blanket would feel much heavier in a twin size than a queen size as the weight is distributed over a much larger area. Then blanket size is not considered in the recommendations. This blanket does not have any of the “scrunchy” feel or sounds that the more expensive blanket has. This may be due to the 7 layers of padding in this blanket.To sum it up, this blanket is so soft and comfy it will easily replace my comforters for the winter. I should also mention that I recently have been measuring my sleep on Samsung Watch 3 and my sleep scores have much improved since using this blanket. Prior to using this blanket, my sleep score was usually around 49 because I was awake so much of the night from tossing and turning. Since I have using this blanket my sleep scores have been consistently around 70 because I have been waking up much less during the night, and have been getting more deep sleep.UPDATE 05/06/22:Since I tend to be cold at night in the winter, I had been using this blanked primarily in the wintertime for extra warmth. This year, since spring is here, I decided to take this blanket off my bed and use lighter weight blankets for the summer. Boy, was this a mistake!! I had gotten so used to the secure and cuddly feeling provided by this blanket, I couldn’t sleep, and I woke up quite a few times in the night. This was also reflected in my watch sleep scores. After a couple of nights with less good sleep, I put the blanket back on my bed. Surprisingly, I didn’t get overheated at all, but I was sleeping sound again and my sleep scores immediately increased. After this experience, I will definitely be keeping this blanket on my bed for all seasons.Needless to say, I would highly recommend this blanket. Love the shade of pink and the heavy weight of blanket. It’s instant warmth the minute you crawl in bed. You can’t move around much either in bed because blanket so weighted. I only wish they came in sizes that duvets come in, instead of “throw” sizes. My bed is double size and this blanket just covered the surface of mattress – does not come down the sides at all nor down foot of bed to tuck in. So the sizing is my only negative aspect of this blanket.
