Noxious when unpacked, but good quality!
Definitely needs to be aired out for at least 24h after first unpacking & unrolling, as the fresh chemical smell is STRONG – will need to leave in a well ventilated room or outside!It’s a good size, exactly as stated, which is perfect for my frame without feeling too big or small. It’s not super bulky, but it’s still thick enough to protect me from the hardwood floor I stretch on. Love the color! Carry strap is pretty cheap, it’s just a fabric strap with a slider – if it’s the difference between this item and a different one, honestly making your own strap could be better. But it feels nice and relaxing and I’m not worried about it rolling away! Love the mat, would get again if I needed a spare.

Great mat for Pilates and hiit workouts
I love using this mat for hiit workouts and Pilates. It’s thick enough to be comfortable, but thin enough to stay put. The carrying strap is nice, although I don’t need it, as I workout at home. Overall it’s a great value and design.

Best yoga mat I’ve used
This is the best yoga mat that I’ve used; and that’s including the ones at the gym. The gym yoga mats are usually the best quality, but this one beats those. It has amazing grip, durability, cushion and I feel very confident on it. I can do all of my balance poses on it and feel confident that I won’t slip or fall. I can hold down dog on it for a longer period of time. You can transition from pose to pose flawlessly by using this mat. It’s seriously that good.My only concern is ordering other colors because the material doesn’t say the same in the details. The one I ordered says “B… Rubber”. That’s the one you want to get.

Gaiam Mats are the best!
I’m a Yoga teacher & have tried sooo many Yoga mats at various price points. Out of all my mats, Gaiam is by far my favorite! The colors are vibrant and some have fun designs. I think the thickness of this mat is ideal and I never slip on these mats.The downfall of this particular purchase is that the included strap was wrapped so tightly around the mat that it left deep lines in the mat. I doubt they are going to come out. I didn’t really care about the strap & didn’t plan to use it but it’s a bummer it left such deep lines on the mat. The mat will function fine but it doesn’t look as nice.

Great yoga mat
Perfect for my exercise and yoga needs! Doesn’t slip when I do balance and/or walking activities and yoga poses on it. Has a good cushioning, and is very durable, using for past 5 months without an issue. I like the green color

Well worth it
Been using the yoga mat for over a week now and I do like it a lot. I practice on a tile floor and even though the mat is thin, it provides plenty of padding from the floor.The mat is rather slick at the start but i can already tell it is starting to get more sticky. I feel there is just a small layer that needs worn off and then it is better.I feel the mat is going to last a long time and well worth the money.

Great quality
This is my only yoga mat at the moment. I’ve been using it consistently for over a year now for all of my hot yoga and Pilates classes, and it has been great. Always feel comfortable in wrist/hand heavy positions, so I’d say it’s a good thickness.I do use it with a yoga towel, it gets slippery when I sweat and I don’t enjoy having to reposition myself due to slipping out of a pose.Again, over a year of usage in heated classes so I’d say good quality! I might buy a second for when friends tag along to classes with me.

This GAIA Yoga mat has a great ‘grippy’ surface that does not become slippery. I started with a thicker foam mat and those thick ones are potentially a bit dangerous as they are slippery when doing Yoga moves. You could slip and hurt yourself with those cheaper thick foam ones.Gaia thin ones are one of the BEST you can get. You can use a cheaper one under it if you are outside on uneven ground. Always have the Gaia next to your skin.
